Just when you think being a good Samaritan will get you in the good eyes of people, you might be wrong. Helping people does not always bring benefits, these days even a gentle gesture may end you up in jail.
Or in some other cases, a hefty fine...
Navy Medic Gets Bill After Helping Out
A Navy medic who stopped to calm a woman whose husband was having a heart attack — and helped an ambulance crew perform CPR on the man en route to a hospital — ended up with a $60 towing bill.
Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Tim Moore was driving on Interstate 94 near Jackson on April 2 when he saw an ambulance parked along the eastbound lane, the Jackson Citizen Patriot reported.
He said he pulled over to try to help calm the woman, who was near the ambulance. When the rescuers learned of Moore's medical training, they asked if he would help administer CPR on the way to Foote Hospital.
"I pulled over in a bit of a hurry," said Moore, who since has returned to Camp Lejeune, N.C. "Of course, when they asked me to do CPR, I just locked the truck and didn't really think about moving it."
The man died in the emergency room.
When Moore returned to the side of the interstate two hours later, the truck was missing. It turns out the truck — parked partly over the white line marking the side of the road — was considered a travel hazard and towed.
Jackson County Undersheriff Tom Finco said deputies tried to call Moore before the tow but got no answer at the number they had on record. The charge was levied by the towing company.
"It's very unfortunate he stopped to do a good deed and that's what happened," Finco said, "but we definitely don't want his vehicle left there and hit by another car traveling down the ramp."
Moore said he was a little upset at the time. Now, he says: "It's only $60.

My Say: These are the kind of happenings that really makes life worth living just a bit longer. No more has people been a helpful bunch when at most times, onlookers will just be busy buddy's whereby none would help nor even a simple hug.
My respect to those who helps others and to the wife of the man who died, my condolences and may he rest in peace.

Nude Image of Carla Bruni Sold
But this is simply ridiculous...
Nude Image of Carla Bruni Sold
A nude photograph of France's first lady, Carla Bruni, has been auctioned for $91,000 (£46,098) - more than 20 times the expected price. The image was taken by photographer Michel Comte in 1993, when Ms Bruni was a highly sought-after model.
The picture was bought by an anonymous bidder on behalf of a collector, said Christie's auction house in New York, which sold the image.
The office of French President Nicolas Sarkozy has declined to comment.
Christie's said the photograph had been expected to fetch between $3,000 and $4,000.
The successful bid was for $75,000, but with commission the actual price paid rose to $91,000.
Rik Pike, a spokesman for the auction house, said "the media and the level of international interest for this photo" had "played their role" in the image being sold for a much higher sum.
Christie's said money from the sale of the photograph will go to Swiss charity Sodis, which provides clean drinking water to developing countries.
The image was part of a selection of photographs auctioned by collector Gert Elfering.
It also included nude photos of models Lauren Hutton, Gisele Bundchen and Kate Moss, and an image of actress Brigitte Bardot by American photographer Richard Avedon which fetched $181,000 (£91,600).
Mr Sarkozy married Ms Bruni in February, less than four months after the end of his volatile 11-year marriage to Cecilia Ciganer-Albeniz.

Loan Shark Gets Conned
Loan Shark Falls Victim To Con Man
Loan sharks are usually the villains in most stories but one fell victim recently.
The loan shark was cheated of RM2,900 when a man took out a loan from him using a forged MyKad.
The creditor traced the address on the MyKad to the apartment of 40-year-old masseuse Liew Sow Wai.
Liew's mother had apparently rented out her apartment in Johor Baru in late March to a couple, who claimed to be from Penang.
On April 4, Liew received a call from her property agent informing her that a loan shark was looking for a certain “Mr Liew” at her apartment to demand payment.
“I was puzzled because I did not borrow any money from loan sharks,” she told reporters at Wisma MCA.
Liew immediately rushed to Johor to clarify the matter with the loan shark.
When she met the loan shark, it was his turn to be surprised, as his debtor was a man.
“I showed the Ah Long my MyKad and it was only then that we realised we had been cheated. He showed me a copy of his debtor's MyKad and it had my name and address on it but the IC number and photo was different,” she said.
Her tenants had gone missing since then and Liew had no means of contacting them as her mother had rented out the apartment in a hurry.
Fortunately, the loan shark promised not to hound Liew as he, too, felt that she was a victim.
After lodging a police report at the Sentul police station, Liew sought help from MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Michael Chong.
“I've always been told the MyKad is foolproof but from today's case we can see how it can be easily tampered with.
“I urge the Home Ministry to look into the matter immediately as forged identity cards can pose a problem to financial institutions such as banks,” said Chong.
Chong also asked the person with IC No. 721211-01-5155 to come forward to shed light on the issue.
My Say: Well, I say serves them right for conning people throughout the years. It's about time for some payback, however you gotta respect the conman though. He has some pretty huge balls in his sack for even messing with loan sharks. He better pray that the loan sharks don't find him or he'll be having his eggs smashed, and boiled for him to drink for supper!
Good luck though...

Worst Robber Ever
Stupidest Robber Ever
WARREN, Mich. - A would-be bank robber came away empty-handed but left behind something useful for police: her photo identification. The woman was arrested less than an hour later on a charge of attempted armed robbery, Police Commissioner William Dwyer said.
The woman filled out an account application Thursday morning, then pulled a handgun and demanded cash, Dwyer said. She panicked and fled without getting any money; police found an address on the account application, along with her photo ID.
The address was for an apartment near the bank. The manager gave the woman's new address to police, who arrested her without incident.
"We're probably not dealing with the smartest person in the world," Dwyer told The Detroit News for a story published online Thursday.
My Say: Dumbass! I've had my fair share of stories on dumbass robbers as well. You see, my mum's friend's office was robbed and near the office was a shop that buys and trades in second hand goods. So after robbing the office, the stupid robbers sold the items at the shop AND provided their real house address during registration.
If there was any word worst than dumb or idiot, that would be these people.

Porn Star Unveils Italy Campaign Weapon - Her Bottom
She had no desire to be just another smiling face in Italian politics. So when porn star Milly D'Abbraccio designed her campaign posters, it was obvious she was going to show off her bottom.
Targeting her male fan base, the veteran of Italy's adult entertainment industry has plastered images of her derriere all around the Eternal City in a bid to win a seat in Rome's city hall.
If elected, D'Abbraccio wants to create a red light area with strip clubs, erotic discos and sex shops called "Love City" just kilometres away from the Vatican.
"It would be something cute, clean -- nothing to do with prostitution," said the actress whose films include "The Kiss of the Cobra" and "Paolina Borghese, Imperial Nymphomaniac".
D'Abbraccio, in her 40s, isn't the first adult entertainer to dip her painted toenails into Italian politics. Ilona Staller, known as "Cicciolina", sat in parliament in the 1980s and was famous for her impromptu stripteases.
"It was simpler then," D'Abbraccio said. Public nudity isn't the guaranteed attention-grabber it once was, she noted.
D'Abbraccio hopes to capitalise on increasing disenchantment with Italian politics. The recession-prone nation votes on Sunday and Monday in elections to pick a prime minister as well as lawmakers, mayors and city councillors.
"People don't want to see these politicians' faces anymore," she told Reuters in an interview from her Rome apartment.
She said she was tapping into her popularity among pornography fans as "an act of generosity" to help Italy's socialists, who are fielding her in the municipal race.
"I am the derriere of the Socialist party," she concluded.
Silvio Berlusconi, who leads in opinion polls to become prime minister for a third time, drew scorn recently for saying his party boasted the prettiest women in politics. Critics called him a chauvinist.
D'Abbraccio also objected, but for another reason.
"I think he is wrong, because he lost the prettiest one (me)," said D'Abbraccio, whose campaign and adult professional website is www.millydabbraccio.com.
If D'Abbraccio wins, she says she will represent Romans from the district that is home to Cinecitta studios, Italy's version of Hollywood where classics like "La Dolce Vita" were filmed.
"I will reign over Cinecitta, if I get the votes," she said, reclining on a gold-rimmed, chaise lounge in her living room.
As for experience, D'Abbraccio acknowledges she is a political novice but she did play a powerful lawmaker in an adult film called "L'Onorevole".
"I played the part of the speaker of the lower house of parliament, who got very hot and then let herself go," she said.
My Say: She can have my votes anytime of the day. Obviously, scandals might appear in the headlines if she were to get the seat but what surprise is there. Porn star or not, each and every politician has a scandal up their sleeves, so why start later when you can start now.
Anything goes I guess..

Malacca CM Turns to Blogging
But this goes to show how blogging is becoming a factor in determining the general public mindset and for this, I'm proud to say that being a blogger is the ultimate awesome that one could ever be in life!
Malacca CM Turns to Blogging
Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam has jumped onto the cyber bandwagon to get his message across.
His blog at entitled Dari Kacamata Mohd Ali Rustam(Through the Glasses of Mohd Ali Rustam).
He is believed to be the first among the Chief Ministers and Mentri Besar to start a blog. In the aftermath of the March 8 general election in which Barisan Nasional lost its two-third majority in Parliament and five states to the opposition coalition, several Barisan leaders acknowledged the party had underestimated the power of the Internet as an effective means to reach out to voters.
Since then, a few leaders have set up blogs, including former Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo.

F1 boss and His Nazi Orgy Fetish
F1 Boss and His Nazi Orgy Fetish
FORMULA One boss Max Mosley is a grotesque sexual deviant who acts out Nazi death-camp fetishes.
No reasonable person who reads our exposés can doubt that.
But Mosley is far from reasonable. And his feeble, bleating assertion that his sex acts are "harmless" flies in the face of the evidence.
Arrogant Mosley has repeatedly resisted demands to step down as head of motor-racing's governing body, arguing his debauchery was "private".
Yet with every utterance he condemns himself. Protesting, for example, in a letter to the German motoring federation, that if he had been caught speeding: "I should have resigned the same day."
So, parodying Holocaust horrors with five prostitutes barely counts.
Mosley adds that "the Nazi element" of our report was pure fabrication.
We absolutely refute and challenge his assertion that we have invented any elements of his depravity.
Which is why we plan to send copies of our video evidence to Senate members representing the global motor-racing community, whichwill decide on his future as their president.
Their own statutes decree anyone who inflicts "moral injury" on the FIA by "words, deeds or writings" may be expelled.Mosley, for example, insists he spoke German on the film simply because one of the girls was German!
But members will be able to see and hear for themselves how he beats the women in the orgy while speaking English in a mocking German accent worthy of 'Allo 'Allo's Gestapo officer Herr Flick.
It will also be clear that the girls are wearing either Nazi-style or prison-camp outfits.
This newspaper agrees wholeheartedly with the vast majority of the motor racing world—including Mercedes and BMW—that Mosley must quit.
We also applaud triple champion Jackie Stewart—perhaps the sport's finest ambassador—in his insistence that Mosley cannot separate his private life from his public duties. "It is no longer a private matter," he says.
Importantly, too, the mighty Automobile Association of America has also weighed in against him.
As the AAA says, moral authority can only come from a leader who "upholds the highest standards" of ethics.

My Say: A Nazi fetish? Now that is way too off dude. If it were a mere normal fetish than I would have asked to leave him alone but geez this is just wrong! I have nothing else to comment other than the fact that this guy seems to be living in the wrong time and he's definitely in the wrong line of work!
Marking the birth of the 'Your Daily Dose of News'
Bloggers Go By Their Own Rules
Bloggers, including those who are paid to write product reviews, should set their own standards of ethics.
This is the view of at least three young bloggers – Paul Tan (paultan.org), Kimberly Low (kimberlycun.com), and Lim Su Ann (quaintly. net) – who do product reviews from time to time.
They say that rules should not be imposed on them, but each blogger should set their personal guidelines.
Tan, who blogs mostly on the automotive industry, claimed that he does not get paid for reviews, while Low and Lim admitted that they accepted payments from clients.
The trio were speaking at the forum on Does New Media Influence The Way We Communicate Today?
Lim said while she receives payments and her clients have the final say on her product reviews.
“Just because we are paid does not mean we should lie. Like journalists, we have (personal) rules and ethics to adhere to.
“Clients have the final say. For example, they might not like the word “cheap” used on their product, and ask if it can be changed to “affordable”. But we won’t change the review totally to sound like a press release – otherwise we won’t post it,” she said.
Low concurred, saying that her reviews are “dictated to a certain degree on how we write and review.”
Later, The Star Online senior editor Raslan Sharif gave an insight on how The Star is evolving from the old media to the new, while All Malaysian Bloggers Project editor Michael Fredericks spoke about the blog directory set up in May last year to bridge bloggers with clients and readers.

My Say: Just because we have no written set of standards and rules doesn't mean that we have none and no matter what they say, we are still untrusted by them in which if you think about it, when have we ever been trusted with in the first place. Sure they are beginning to understand that blogs are an important media in the current world but how do we know whether or not trouble will not stir in the near future if anything should happen.
Only time will tell I guess...
